What is the ABA Couples web site? www.abacouples.com
How do I sign up for a SC Couples tournament?
You can pay ahead of time by signing up online at: https://www.americanbassanglers.com/products.php?cat=206.
Or, you can sign up the morning of the tournament, just arrive early to allow time to sign up. CASH only, day of the tournament!
What's the best way to pay my ABA Membership so I can fish the ABA Couples?
Membership: To fish the Couples - you and your teammate both need to be members of American Bass Anglers. ABA offers a "Family/Couples Team" rate of $40 for the team. If a team member is already an ABA member, the other partner can become a member for $25. You can pay your membership at the ramp, the day of the tournament (cash) or pay ahead on the ABA website.
(Note: "Family Membership" is for Couples Teams that fish together, is a male/female team, can be spouses, friends, other family... signing up as a team to fish the couples circuit.)
Who can fish the Couples division?
PARTICIPANTS AND ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to teams comprised of one male and one female in good standings with American Bass Anglers, Inc. who are 12 years of age or older. Contestants between 12 and 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian signature prior to entering the tournament. Proof of age to the satisfaction of tournament officials is the responsibility of the competitor. Tournament officials reserve the right to refund any membership and/or entry fee, if they choose for any reason not to accept the application and/or entry fee. During the official practice and competition days of any American Couples Series event operated by American Bass Anglers, no competitor may operate a boat unless that contestant has documented proof of a minimum of $100,000 per occurrence boating liability insurance (see Participant Release of Liability and Official Entry Forms) covering the boat being used in the tournament. Proof of insurance must be with the boat being used and must cover the competitors using that boat. Random checks will be conducted and any competitor who does not have proof of in-force insurance with $100,000 coverage may be disqualified.
